Project Brief
To ensure a harmonious image, the John Anthony Signs’ team had to use all their design flair when manufacturing and installing 26 different retailers’ branded signs within Hong Kong airport. The project was made more complicated by a lack of local knowledge base in sign installation, and the need to complete the task whilst the airport was still under construction. The team found a unique solution to blend the retailers’ brands, ranging from highly coloured illuminated fascias to aluminium laser-cut letters, in with the airport’s carefully designed architecture, without detracting from retailers’ brands.
Within 5 days of receiving the brief, John Anthony Signs provided a quote, received the order and by day 5, a John Anthony Signs’ surveyor was on the plane to Hong Kong. A local network of additional labour was sought and headed by an air-side security approved 4-man team from John Anthony Signs, who stayed on-site throughout the duration. The entire project was delivered in just 5 weeks from receipt of order and was hailed a fantastic success.
